I have over 25 years experience working in a variety of materials. Please get in touch if you'd like to discuss something more specialised and we can talk it through.
Soft and malleable, Copper has high thermal and electrical conductivity. As a roofing material it has low thermal movement, is light-weight, protects against lightning and is recyclable. It's the distinctive natural green patina, or verdigris, makes it both attractive and durable.
When exposed to moisture and carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, Zinc forms a protective layer on its surface. The carbonate layer prohibits corrosion over very long periods of time and also creates a very pleasing and sort after bluish patina.
